Michael Pieper

Michael Pieper is one of the Shareholders of Bergos AG. He has served long-tenured on the Bank’s Board of Directors since* 1993.

In 2018, together with a group of accomplished entrepreneurs, he acquired the majority shares of the then Berenberg Bank (Switzerland) AG and established first Bergos Berenberg AG, and then in 2021 the fully independent Swiss Private Bank Bergos.

He has been owning Franke since 1989 and has served as CEO/President there from 1989 until 2012. Since 2013, he is CEO/President of the Artemis Group. Amongst serving on the Board of Bergos AG, Michael Pieper is also Board member of various other Swiss companies. Since 2015 he is a non-executive Board member of Arbonia AG. In 2011, Mr. Pieper has taken on a seat on the Board of Directors at Autoneum Holding AG. Additionally, Michael Pieper occupies the position of the Chairman-Supervisory Board of Centinox Holding AG since 2010. Further, he is a member of the Board at RWD Reppisch Werke AG and since 2009 also at Rieter Holding AG. Moreover, in 2000 he became part of the Board of Directors at Forbo Holding AG.

Prior to joining Franke, Michael Pieper worked in the US for several years in different positions in banking and industrial companies. He studied at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and graduated with an MBA (lic. oec. HSG).
