ECB AND FED MEET EXPECTATIONS

As expected, the European Central Bank (ECB) has lowered its key interest rates by 25 basis points. A larger interest rate cut was not discussed by the Central Bank Council. According to ECB President Lagarde, monetary policy is still restrictive even after the rate cut.
